"Family:
They drive you crazy.
They drive you nuts.
They drive you loony.
But...
They drive you."

Advisories are never easy to be in. In a way, they are just like families. There's always a lazy family member, an annoying one, a funny one, a sarcastic one, a persistent one, a helpful one, a quiet one, a sneaky one, one that just bothers you, and so on. And in Maria's advisory, or Maria's family, there is an advisee that fits into each type of family member, if not a couple of them. While they may get annoying at times, you still somehow find a way to deal with them and to love them, not because you want to, but because you have to.
Since freshman year, my advisory has been through quite a bit. We've lost 2 members of our advisory and gained 6 more. At times, it's safe to say that our old advisory was much better, but there are also times where I wouldn't change the advisory I have now for anything. |

Through all of the madness, I think it's safe to say that there has been one consistent thread in every step; Maria, our advisor, who I am extremely grateful for. Even though she has an important job at BACS, she still continues to find a way to guide us with her wisdom and love. Her constant pressure and determination to make us succeed hasn't always been easy, however, she's stuck by us regardless of the situation.
Despite our minor arguments and short time with the new advisees, I have grown to appreciate each individual in some way. The bonds that we have created are not done being made, they are still growing, just like us. I look forward to the next two years with my advisory, my family.
